Six years ago, he was acknowledged as the pioneer of a new genre of YouTube videos that centers on expensive stunts. His main YouTube channel, "MrBeast", is the fifth-most-subscribed on the platform. At the age 13 of Donaldson began posting YouTube videos under the username "MrBeast6000". His initial videos included Let's Plays as well as videos that analyzed other YouTubers' wealth. He became a viral sensation in 2017 when he released his "Counting to 100,000" video, which was able to receive thousands of views in only two days. After his channel exploded, Donaldson hired several of his former classmates to help him run the growing business. The MrBeast channel had 60 subscribers in 2022.
