Abigale Le Miller bio
Abigale Lee
Miller(born September 21, 1965) is an American choreographer, dance instructor,
and reality television personality. Abby Lee Dance Company is her original
creation and was a reality show that aired for eight seasons on Dance Moms. On
June 27, 2016, Miller pleaded guilty to felony bankruptcy fraud. Miller was
sentenced to a year and one day in federal prison and was released on the 27th
of March of 2018. In April of 2018 she was diagnosed with lymphoma, which is a
kind of cancer that renders it impossible to walk. She relies on a wheelchair
for mobility. Miller grew up in Penn Hills, Pennsylvania. Her mother taught her
dance at Maryen Lorrain Dance Studio. In the year 1980, aged 14, Miller was
given the responsibility in choreographing and coaching one of the dance teams
of her mother. Miller was eventually able to take over the dance studio and
renamed it Reign Dance Productions. Miller was certified by Dance Masters of
America, and was a part of Dance Masters of Pennsylvania Chapter 10 (February
1986). However, DMA terminated her membership in February 2012 due to the fact
that Miller's show on reality television Dance Moms was a "complete false
representation of our teachers and students" and was harmful to the
profession.
